Laura,
We finally have some photos of the kittens for you. They are really
settling down well with us and are just loaded with affection. Keoki
loves cuddling when we are in our recliners, and Jeeves likes to be
nearby and be petted but he is not a lap cat. I get the feeling that
Jeeves doesn't like to be too warm.
Jeeves is also the mischievous one and loves to explore and see what
new vantage point he can jump onto. We are getting ready to order a cat
condo for them so that should help. They can be a bit rambunctious when
they both get together, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Dear Laura, Gary
and Crew:
I thought that I would put in my two cents about why people should only buy Tonkinese
kitties from you. My vet said that Charlie (Cheesecake Jackson Sharp) was the
healthiest and cleanest kitten from a breeder he had ever seen. It's so very true -
your kitty babies come ready for giving a long life of love and fun. |
|
|
As you know, Charlie came to our home on July 24, 2002 - we had to have our Natural
Mink Tonkinese male, Cheesecake, put to sleep in May 2002 due to cancer. Cheesecake
was an "original" Tonkinese - bred from a Sable Burmese mother and a Seal Point
Siamese father. If Cheesecake had lived until August 16th, 2002 he would have been 17
years old. While it broke our hearts to have to let Cheesecake go, that kitten you
sent to us has truly blessed our lives. Not even Sassy, our 16 year old Seal Point
Siamese female, would dispute that Charlie saved us.
Thank you for having Charlie available when we needed him. Your cats are top quality.
We know that you all put many, many hours into the care and training of your kitties -
that's what makes them so wonderful. Your fees are a small price to pay for years and
years of the most wonderful Tonkinese around. You've seen the bumper sticker that says:
"You're nothing until you've been ignored by a cat." Well, at our house, you're
nothing until you've been loved by an Innocentia Tonkinese!
Special thanks and blessings to you all, especially for also getting my friend Carol,
a breast cancer survivor, Miss Stella. Stella is truly just as beautiful and wonderful
as our Charlie. We only wish all people would buy Tonkinese kitties from you - those
that don't are truly missing out on one of the best pleasures in life!
Love and blessings from the mountains of Western North Carolina,
Janet S.

Hi Laura!
I don't know if you remember me (I'm thinking you, at least, remember Jackie).
I wanted to send you some pictures of him, so you could see how much he has grown
and how beautiful he is! I also wanted to thank you for him. I believe that he was
sent to me for a reason (I am newly single for about 2 months) and he is the MOST
loving cat that I have ever met. And he still lives up to the name I gave him,
he kisses me all of the time.
Well, I think that is it, just wanted to let you know how we are doing.
Thanks again for Smooches!
Sincerely,
Jennifer |

Dear Laura,
I hope all is well with you.
We are fine, as are the little fuzzies. They continue to be just the most
wonderful little guys - they get along just beautifully, sleeping together,
chasing each other around, falling off table and beds, tripping on the stairs,
sleeping on us every night, and on and on. |
|
|
We are new, first-time grandparents as of 8/20 (an adorable little boy named
Spencer William Daniels). The baby has been over a few times. Julius seems pretty
interested, but Amelia keeps her distance. Crying really gets their attention.
Here is a recent picture of them.
Best Regards,
Al |

Dear Laura,
My baby is sooo precious, I just had to let you know how happy I am that we bought
her from you.
I named her MiSu short for Tiramisu, my favourite desert, because she has the same
coloring. She settled right in after arriving home from San Diego airport, slept in
a little cradle stuffed with a soft sweatshirt, and has never seemed to miss her
family back home. She is twice the size now - hope I'm not feeding her too much!
She likes to sleep inside my bed and sleeps the night through, and even plays
'mouse' with me, batting a paper candy wrapper to me, and pouncing on it and batting
it back to me when I flip it to her!
I hope that you had a good time on vacation without too much inconvenience from the
hurricanes.
Once again, Laura, I can't tell you how adorable this kitten is. Thank you again!
Best wishes,
Betty |

From Our Friends In Japan
Dear Laura,
Hello! I'm sending you Ranmaru's photos. It's been one month since he completed
quarantine and came home. He loves playing with other kittens. I think he has grown a
lot - physically and mentally. He is very gentle with younger kittens, but he hisses
at my adult cats. He loves people and likes to snuggle up to me, my husband and my
son. Every time I call his name, he meows in a sweet voice. Now he weighs 9lb and is
growing rapidly. He is a handsome boy, and he is also very smart. I'm thankful to you
for sending me such a nice boy. I'm sending you lots of pictures so you can see how
cute he is. I will keep in touch and let you know how he is doing.
Warmest regards,
Nobuko |

From Our Friends In Japan
Dear Laura,
It has been some time since I last wrote, and I trust that all is going well for you.
I am writing to let you know how Ranmaru is doing. I took him to a CFA show in Kobe,
Japan on March 26 and 27, 2005, and he became a champion. Ranmaru has grown into a
big, robust boy. He gets along very well with my blue and white female, Burutan, and
apparently has gotten her pregnant. Ranmaru's babies will be born in May, and I will
certainly let you know when they are born.
I am enclosing Ranmaru's photographs that were taken at the show hall by a
professional photographer.
My club is going to have a show in October, and I will show Ranmaru as a champion.
By that time, he will be bigger and more mature, so he should do well.
Best wishes for your continued good health and happiness.
Yours truly,
Nobuko |

Hi Laura and Gary,
Hope you liked seeing the photo of Anna that I just sent you. Taken this AM.
We have retired and are living in Arcadia, Florida! I am soooo happy! Arcadia
is inland about 25 miles from Port Charlotte, 38 miles from Sarasota. Charley
blew off our double carport and screen room. Took a lot of siding off and only
minor damage to the roof. No windows were broken. Everything is repaired now
by Bill, except the carport and screen room. The contractor that we have has
the permit back to do the work and we hope it will be soon. We really miss these
parts and they offer a lot of shade right after noon when the sun is on this side. |

Anna and I were in the car and followed Bill with a small U-Haul trailer all the way
to Florida. We had radios so we could talk with one another. Anna was a perfect
traveling companion. Her carrier was on the floor in the front, and when we stopped
for gas, she would sit right up from the pillow on the passenger side and jump right
down and get into her carrier! I had a disposable litter box on the floor in the back
seat and she went right back there when necessary, and used it and her water and
food was on the floor on the other side. Have you seen or heard of the "litter locker"?
I have one and just love it. You put the soiled litter in it and turn the handle and
it's completely sealed in a 7-layer plastic bag and no odor. That was right on the
back seat and I would stop and clean the litter box and it was great in the motels
room too. I would show her where I put her litter box and she would go right to it
and then she watches me clean it and put it in the "litter locker". She is a GREAT
cat! No bother, no matter what we are doing.
We think we will travel west next summer in a travel trailer. We know she will be
no bother. She is very quiet in the car and doesn't get sick. She loved riding and
listening to the music. We had a great trip from Maine to Florida. If you come to
Florida for a cat show or vacation, we would love to have you look us up and come
visit with us and Anna. I wonder if Anna would remember you? I bet she would. Tell
me how your Brits are and what's new? Would love to hear from you.
Best,
Norma |

Hi Laura:
I am Betty Stocking's daughter (Pippa) and I want to thank you for bringing such
joy into my Mom's life by having MISU. She is an absolute joy! My Mom sent a letter
to you, but didn't send a photo of Misu, so here it is. This was a couple of days
after she flew in to San Diego airport. She is an absolute angel and so smart!
She comes when you call her and she sounds so adorable when she meows. She plays
'catch' with my Mom and has brought the joy back into my Mom's life and for that
I am eternally grateful! My Mom loves TONKS and had one for 19 years and has been
without her for 5 years now so it really means the world to me to see her so happy
because she has lovely, precious Misu. |
 |
|
Thank you Laura for having Misu. She is my Mom's pride and joy! I will be definately
getting a TONK from you in the future! They are the best! Happy Holidays and thank
you from the bottom of my heart!
Best regards,
Pippa |

Hi Laura and Gary:
I drove to Michigan from Pittsburgh the day after Thanksgiving to pick up two
Tonkinese kittens from you. My mother, Shirley, took one home and so did I.
She named her's Linguine and I named mine Buddy. We wanted to let you know how happy
we are with them.
When I started looking for a kitten, I let my fiance, Wes, pick
the breed. He did a lot of research on Tonkinese and we decided that it would
be the perfect breed. Then we found your Cattery on the internet. You were very
helpful and we could hardly stand the two week wait to come get them.
We drove 5 1/2 hours to your house, which was beautiful and immacculate (very
impressive). We picked up the two Platinum Mink boys and drove home. They were
very good the whole way home. My mom took her baby in and suprised my dad. He loves
him but, personally, I think Linguini is attached more to my mom.
My mom also has a 11 yr old Pomeranian dog, and a 12 yr old Himalayan cat. At first,
we were worried that they wouldn't get along, but after about a week, my mom found
Linguini sleeping in the dogs bed sprawled out on his back and the two cats hanging
out under the Christmas tree.
When we got Buddy home to our house, he was curious and timid for about the first two
days, and then he was all over the place. He makes us laugh all day. He jumps from
the stairs onto the couch, and runs like lightning up and down the stairs. We couldn't
be happier with him. He is so playful, but is also so loving. He is always giving
kisses, and loves being so close to us. Sometimes, Wes and I get jealous if we think
Buddy is showing the other too much attention. I think he doesn't like me and Wes to
get too close. He is always squeezing his way in between us. He sometimes wakes me up
in the middle of the night to play, but usually I can get him to go back to sleep
within a couple of minutes. When we get home from work, he is waiting for us and his
little meow is the cutest thing. I hate to leave him alone (he meows for like 15
minutes after I get home and makes me feel terrible for being gone), so I am thinking
of getting another one to keep him company. The only thing with that is I am afraid
he won't show us as much attention.
He has really been a wonderful addition to our family and we love him so much. Thank
you for letting us take one of your babies home.
PS I will send you some pictures as soon as I can. We went and bought a digital camera
to take pictures of him. He moves too fast, so we weren't sure the picture would come
out if we got him with a regular camera.
Thank you,
Crystal and Wes |

Laura:
A warm greeting to you! I wanted to update you on our baby, "Kobe".
We have been blessed with him since September and cannot love him any more!
He is the most lovable cat we have ever had. He follows us around the house
and must always be with one of the family members constantly. What a joy he is.
He is very unique in that he hunts down objects and then hords them in a hiding
place... when we find his loot, we just howl out loud! This photo is about one
month old, now which places him at five months. He has grown so very much since
then, and more beautiful. Thank you for such a wonderful joyous gift! Stay well! |
