Hi,
I just wanted to email you and let you know how happy we are with our Winston (he was Sir Winston Whiskers on your site.) He is beautiful and loving and is best friends with our dog. I check your site regularly because, even though I can't have more than two pets, I try to talk others into getting a Tonkinese. We think they are the best! I am attaching a photo of Winston in case you want to use it on your site. He is such a beautiful Champagne Point example!
Thanks so much,
Amy G |

Greetings Laura and Gary,
It's hard to believe that November is already here. Summer seems to get
shorter every year! Things have been going OK for us, still working,
still healthy. I trust you two are also doing well. The world is getting
pretty crazy!
Well, well, let's talk about cats! As you may deduce from the picture that
the boys are growing up, fast! |
|
|
Percy is 8 months old already, and Bernie
will be 7 months old on the 10th. I'm thinking that Percy is probably
close to his adult size. He currently weighs 8 lbs, 3 ozs. Let me tell
you, there's nothing wrong his appetite! He may grow a bit larger, I
can't say. I may have adopted a Puma!
Percy's personality is one of the sweetest we've ever had. He is attentive
and bonded to his "Mom", a real "Mama's" boy! Percy has no ill will in
him at all, a very gentle cat! He has a sort of mechanical dexterity
that's always full of surprises. Cupboards, doors, even some drawers are
part of Percy's domain!
It's common practice for him to present you with a toy, then patiently wait
for you to toss it down the hall. He then enjoys great sport retrieving it
and restarting the cycle! This can go on for some time, unless Bernie
gets into the "action"!
Bernie is the "textbook" example of the British Shorthair breed. He is
always there, just off to the side a bit, supervising every task preformed
by us! His eyes have the power to "mesmerize", with their stunning copper
color, large and round! He is arguably, a silver gray cat. This is why
It's absolute magic that when he's photographed, or catches the sun light
just right, he turns blue! I didn't believe it, I figured it was just a
description. When I first experienced for myself, I cried to my wife,
"Maureen!!! Maureen!!! Bernie is really BLUE!!!"
There are enough stories to keep me at this keyboard all day! You two know
better than most, the joy of raising kittens! I'll admit, not being
used to all the activity, it took some work to get back into the groove!
I've been watching your web site, lots of Tonks! I'm sure Frosty,
Snickers, and Magic will soon find new homes, as their very lovely kitties!
I'll send more pictures when the boys get a bit older. May God bless you,
the kitties, and your home, always.
Best wishes,
Walt R |

Ho, ho, ho Laura and Gary!
We just wanted to wish the both of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
As you can see, a couple of elves are lending us a hand!
Bernie is a lot like me when it comes to "dressing up" - not interested!
Percy is much more tolerant of goofy human behavior!
I'm sure Christmas day will be a hoot for all of us. The gifts for us, and
let's not forget wrapping paper, and bows, and tape for the "Elves"!!!
Best always,
Walt R |

Merry Christmas, Ms. Hunt!
We hope you are having a wonderful holiday. We just wanted to share our
Tonks' first Christmas photo. He's been such a wonderful kitten for our
family; we all love his acrobatics and snuggles everyday. He is the best
behaved and cuddliest kitten Brett and I have ever raised. And we recommend
your cattery to anyone who is looking for a new kitty.
Warmest regards,
Molly, Brett and Colton B |

Hi Laura,
I just wanted to say, I hope you and Gary had a nice Christmas, and to wish you a happy and healthy new year.
The platinum pointe kitten (from your July 5 litter) is such a precious baby, I call him Baby Boo Boo. I will send you a picture soon for your testimonial page. He is so gorgeous, a friend of mine calls him "movie star cat." His coloring is perfect and his eyes are like Sinatra. I thought about naming him that, but Baby stuck, and he learned it pretty fast.
He has a loving personality and gives me kisses, like a little lap dog, and purrs in double time. Very enthusiastic about his kisses! He sleeps under my down comforter and loves to play with all his toys. My apartment is his "romper room." Since I got him he has made me so happy after losing my beloved Maine Coon that I had for over 20 years.
I had seen a Martha Stewart episode featuring Maine Coon and Tonkinese, and I kept Tonkinese in the back of my mind. When the time came, I did my research on the breed and different breeders, and I am very happy to have found you. You put so much love into your cattery, it truly shows.
Again thank you very much!

Hi Laura,
I just wanted to send you a few lines about my Finnigan. He's two years old now, and he is so sweet. His coat is just beautiful.
I just took him to my vet for his yearly check up. She said, "I couldn't find anything wrong with him, even if I wanted to!" She then added, "He has the whitest teeth I've ever seen on a two year old."
Hope all is well with you. Just wanted you to know that your "little blue boy" is being well loved, and well taken care of.
Thank you!

This is Steve and Cheryl,
parents of Oscar and Felix! Here is a cute picture we thought you might enjoy.
We can hardly believe our boys are 4 1/2 years old - and we have enjoyed each moment with them.
When our friends come over for dinner, we think they come to see the boys, not us! They are the joy of our life.

Laura,
I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know that Frosty (now named Spencer), who was born on July 18th, 2011,
has quickly become a member of the family. He lives in a home with two dogs - a Yorkie Poo and a Lab mix.
Spencer is best buddies with the Yorkie Poo, named Hayden. They play and sleep together all the time! I attached a picture
of the two of them napping together. |
|
|
I put a few videos of Spencer on YouTube. He fetches his toys, can jump up in the air and catch his toy mid-air, and come
down with it. I think that Spencer believes he's a dog, which is okay by me. He has been a true joy and a blessing
to our family!
I am considering adopting a blue Tonkinese female from you, when one is available.
Thanks again,
Mary B |

Hi Laura and Gary,
We wanted to send you a picture and an update on Leo (champagne point) and Simon (platinum point), born on 5/16/10.
They are constantly together. Leo is very affectionate and vocal, and Simon is very playful and loves to
fetch. We can't imagine life without them. It would certainly be more boring!
Hope all is well with you.
Take care,
Melissa and Matt S |

Laura,
I know I sent you a picture just after we received my precious Sabrina, but it has been three years last October
since you retired her.
She has the run of the house, and the household. she is as sweet as can be. Today, she let me take several pictures
while she was sunning herself, so I wanted to send you one.
Love her lots,
Pat M |

Hello! Here are a couple new pic's of the cats.
All is going great, as they are wonderful. Friends and family love them, too.
Snickers has the most marvelous personality - she adores everyone she meets, and is completely good natured. Loves to
play fetch with paperballs or stuffed animals.
Magic (re-named Smokey) is playful and loving, but can be a bit on the shy side at times, when people visit. His
favorite thing to do is lay on me anywhere, and fall asleep when he's not running through the house chasing or being
chased by Snickers.
Their purring machines are in perfect order. They both love to be held, and to be right by the window when it's sunny out.
I think it's clearly the best purchase I've ever made, and though I came there to pick between the two, I am so glad I
decided to get both while I was visiting with you.
Take care! I will send more pictures as they grow.

Hi, Laura and Gary,
Just wanted to let you know that Carmine is doing GREAT, and is the light of my life! We had him neutered and declawed last
Thursday. He is doing wonderfully. Laser declaw is the best - no blood, no bandages, and three days of sustained release pain
medication!
He is eating THREE small cans of food a day, but still doesn't like hard food. |
|
|
He has Bob wrapped around his tiny
paw... which isn't so tiny anymore at 3.5 pounds! Not bad for under 14 weeks old!
Carmine is a ham for the camera, and always keeps his eyes open (quite unusual for a cat). Speaking of which, he prefers
to look at me and Bob directly in the eyes, also very unusual for a cat. He is very muscular, but would give up playing
any day to cuddle. He loves to ride around on my shoulder, and sleeps with his head on the pillow next to mine at night.
Thought you'd enjoy this picture of him at three months of age. I hope you feel good that he's gone to a very good home.
Hope all is well with you and yours!
All the best,
Layne M
