Hi Laura,
I am indeed one of those occasional "peekers." My Nina is six years old and still as
feisty as a kitten. She is personality plus :-). She and her buddy, Malcolm, are my
constant companions.
FYI, I've sent your website address to co-workers and friends who admire my Nina pics.
Best to you and yours as we enter the holiday season.

Dear Laura,
I am writing today to give you an update about one of your wonderful
kittens. I purchased Winston from you in 1998. He was born 06/03/98. He is
as cross-eyed as ever, but I could not love him more. He is my constant
companion. My husband passed away in February 2007, and I could not have made it
through those long nights and days without Winston.
The first picture was taken in 2006, at 8 years old. If you look at the second
picture, taken in 2008 at 10 years old, he still looks the same. The
picture was taken while engaged in his favorite past time: looking out the open
patio door. He is a certified sunbather.
We recently visited the vet for his shots and senior wellness tests. The vet
was astonished at how well he was doing for his age, except for his weight.
He currently weighs 17 pounds. The vet did state he did not expect him to
weigh 10 pounds, as he is a very large boy. So Winston is on a diet of sorts
so that he does not gain more weight. |
|
|
He loves to talk and he interacts with the people in my apartment building
when they come to visit. Everyone says they have never met a cat like him.
He is loving, laidback, and amusing, to say the least.
I saw your ad in the recent issue of Cat Fancy magazine, so I thought you
might like to know how happy Winston is.
A very happy cat lover,
Katherine O

Hi Laura and Gary!
It has now been roughly three months since I came to get Henri from you. Today he is
half a year old, and I think he gets cuter everyday. He is the sweetest kitten I have
ever owned. Every morning, I am greeted by him sleeping next to me on the pillow. He
meows whenever he hears me wake up, and rushes over, nudging his head on my hands
wanting to petted. He gets along great with my other cat (a one and a half year old
tabby). They love to lay together at the foot of my bed, groom, and play all day long
while I am out and in class.
Everyone who meets Henri says that he is the cutest cat they have ever seen. Even the
vet asked my permission to show everyone in the office what a cute kitten he is.
Whenever someone asks what breed he is, I gladly tell them, and refer them to you as
I've had such a positive experience.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful kitten - I couldn't be happier with him!
Sincerely,
Sarah |

Hey Laura,
It's Steve! Remember we bought "Tank" and "Champagne Boy" from you last
October? I think you know we have moved and are official Michiganders now.
Attached are a few pictures of our "boys" - they have provided incredible
companionship and are the center of our lives. Don't know how we did without them.
They have such great personalities, and are so much fun to watch when they play, and
then they come straight to our lap for their afternoon nap (on the weekends when I am
home from work). Oscar (the former "Champagne Boy") loves to watch "Days of our Lives"
with Cheryl during the week, and Felix (the former "Tank") is very fond of watching
golf with me on the weekend.
Oddly enough, Felix/Tank ended up the smaller of the two. He weighs 10.1, while Oscar
weighs in at 11.2. |

|
It is all I can do to keep from ordering a pair of sisters for
them (like "Dancer and Cupid"), but I do not want to upset their world, they are so
spoiled and know, absolutely KNOW, that the house belongs to them! Like the saying,
"Dogs have masters and cats have staff," could not be more true with these two guys.
We refer to them as our Twin Ten pound Tornados, because of the way they play and
chase each other up and down the stairs. As you can tell from the pictures, they are
inseparable.
Hope you are well. We wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a great 2009!

Hello Laura,
The holidays are fast approaching, and I decided to type by to say hello!
Bentley has continued to be a highlight for me and Nate and an ongoing comic,
nuisance, friend, nuisance, etc. for Miss Chiffon. She has adjusted well
to him and his antics - took long enough, as he will be two in January! |
|
|
It's so amusing, as Bentley has become the "Boss". Nightly, Bentley will
go upstairs and do a bit of yowling at Nate, until Nate turns off his
computer and comes downstairs to go to bed. Bentley yowls at me for a
bit (I usually just say you can go to bed by yourself), and then he joins
Nate in bed. I am awake much longer, and it is in the later evening that
Chiffon stays with me for the hug and cuddle! Then to bed we go to join
"the boys", who are fast asleep. How much cuter can this picture get?
It looks so "Norman Rockwell".
The photo I send you are from last Friday, 11/28/08, with a new
holiday theme that I put up. When Bentley saw it his entire body shook
from enthusiasm, and he just couldn't wait to get a closer look. At one
point I felt he would become a part of the piece! But alas, the boy is
maturing and took great interest, had his "look see" and has left it
alone for the most part! He seems to say, "I prefer the mice" got anymore?
Well, we here in Ohio wish you and Gary the very best of holidays. Stay well,
stay toasty, and I'll keep in touch!
Sincerely,
Linda B

Laura,
I know you hear this a lot, but my kitty is so great. She is sweet, beautiful, and
personality plus.
We played with her last night in the nursery until she was comfortable. I woke up
early with her and she ate a good breakfast. She's happy and playing. I took her
around the house, and she helped me feed the other animals.
I'm keeping her in her own space until everyone is happy together. She is so curious
and brave. I just love her. I'll send pics soon.

Hi Laura,
I just wanted to update you on Yoshi. We adopted him from you in 2005, on one of your
trips to Chicago. He is the most wonderful cat ever! I came to you after I had lost
my Ragdoll to Cardiomyography. I never thought another
cat (other than the Siamese I had/have) could bring me so much joy. Well, Yoshi has.
I now have a 2 year old son, and Yoshi lets him lay on him (gently of course), play
with him, etc. He hardly ever gets spooked by him. Thanks again.
xoxoxo,

Hi Laura,
Just a quick note to let you know that Peter (Willie) and Little Rascal (Waylon) are
doing just fine. Willie is on my lap as I type this email, purring madly, and Waylon
is watching us both from his perch on a chair. These two kittens are just super:
beautiful, smart, friendly, extremely affectionate, and very personable. They have
far exceeded any expectations we had, and are - simply - a delight. You were so right
about Little Rascal - what a purrer and head butter he is! But Peter isn't far behind.

Oops, that was Willie on the keyboard. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ There he goes again! He is a demando cat. Thanks again,
Laura!
I will send pictures when I can get a shot of them sitting still - not an easy feat,
as you know.
Best,

Laura,
I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much we are enjoying the Tonkinese
kitten we got from you on April 9. We have decided to name him Tinker, and he is
everything that I wanted in a cat. Lots of fun, full of play, and a lap full of
purrs. Plus, we get so many "baths of kisses" from him.
Here is a photo of when Tinker managed to get a hold of a skein of yarn, and ran up
and down the stairs with it, weaving a quite intricate "spider's web". The photo
shows him looking guilty. The other is a photo of him playing with his fake
"bird".
Thank you again for such a wonderful companion. He's doing great!

Dear Laura and Gary,
I hope that everything is well with you and your cattery. I'm writing to give you an
update on the British Shorthair that I got from you last summer.
Lillianna's first birthday was yesterday. She is such a joy in my life. She is a very
quiet cat; when she meows, I know that something has caught her attention and has
excited her. |
|
|
She loves to play with her toys, run from room to room, and watch out
the window from her cat condo. In the evening, she often lays on my lap or by my feet
to take a nap. She enjoys having her head and chin rubbed, showing her pleasure by
purring. She holds a special place in my heart, and I can't imagine my life without
her in it. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her.
Thank you so much for raising such beautiful Brits. I've enclosed my favorite picture
taken of my Lilly this past month.
Regards,

Hi All,
Attached is an updated photo of the kittens, in case any of you were wondering just
how they are doing!
Nimue is a very investigative kitten, and Merlin likes to eat! Everyday they become
more and more relaxed and people friendly, and have found the bathroom sink a fun
place to hang out! We are hoping to introduce them to the entire house towards the
end of May, but first I have to kitty proof it!
Regards,
Tom P |

Hi Laura,
Just an update here:
We introduced the kittens to the entire house this morning! They are having a BLAST!
Up the stairs, and down the stairs, and into everything.
Merlin is eating like a little pig and has started developing a pouch!
They have successfully destroyed almost all the toys you gave them, and we have had
to buy new ones!
Nimue is my cat, and she nuzzles up to me every chance she can, and Merlin is more
Dales cat, and is very mischievous. They even pulled the stoppers out of the bathroom
sinks and I found them under the bed!
Hope all is well out there!
Take care,
Tom P |
