Thank you so
much for your patience while I was picking out the PERFECT kitten. We named him Simba.
I am so happy with him.
Here he is with our shepherd. It only took about a week, and these two are now play
and snuggle buddies! Of course, it took him no time at all to want to start playing
with our tabby. Now, thanks to Simba, the tabby has lost 4 pounds and has someone to
thump around the house with at night.
I cannot express what a sweetie Simba is, always following us around the house,
purring practically anytime we touch him. He is always ready to play as well as
snuggle.
He was 5 months old when we put up the Christmas tree, and there were NO accidents.
He would slightly bat at the bottom ornaments, then just lay down on the tree skirt
to look at them. My husband cannot believe that he can be so playful, yet he doesn't
mess up anything around the house.
Thanks again,
Cindy |

Hello Laura and Gary!
Well, I waited just a while before letting you know how things are going. Wanted to
make sure that I wasn't being premature with my report.
This is how it should be when you get a new kitten! A very enjoyable experience all
the way around.
He (because he still doesn't have a name yet, but we are getting close) slept a good
portion of the way home. I think that he just was a bit overwhelmed with his new
friend and the car ride. About an hour from home, he really started squalling, so I
took him out of the carrier and he slept the rest of the way home, snuggled up in my
coat, on my lap. I normally do not allow animals to be loose in a car (for all the
reasons that you already know), but I thought that, maybe, he needed a bit of
reassurance.
He met my hubby, who already likes him, met my son and daughter-in-law, and decided
that they were okay enough to play with them. Loved my daughter-in-law's necklace!
So, obviously, he is now not as quiet as he was when I was holding him at your house.
He did not eat last night, but finally has settled in, and has eaten. I am not Jewish,
but become a Jewish mother where my animals are concerned. I fret when they are off,
or do not eat, so was much relieved when he ate! The only thing he has not done yet
is have a bowel movement. Hopefully that will come soon.
He has washed my face, played with my jewelry, and played with my Japanese Chin, who
thinks I bought the kitty for him. He is really good with the kitten. He has also met
the matriarch of the house, an 11 year old Cavalier, who is very gentle and motherly.
So, life couldn't be any better now! I am utterly thrilled with my new baby! He is
pretty upset with me right now, squalling his head off, because I have put him in a
cage for the night. It has his litter box, water, food and toys, but he can hear me
and already knows that if I am at the computer, he should be sitting in my lap! I
believe that he is already spoiled rotten. He will not always be caged, but until he
is a bit older, he can get into things and under things, and I want to know when I
wake up in the morning, that he is safe!
Anyway, it is late, so I will close for now. Thank you again for trusting me with
this bundle of joy!
All the best,
Kathy G

Hi Laura,
Just thought you might enjoy this photo of Song, with our youngest grandchild, Karl,
supposedly taking a nap. The two are best buddies and it is amazing how loving Song
is with a very active little boy.
Song is a wonderful kitty and we are so happy to have him. Thank you for our Song.

Hi Laura,
Thought you'd like to see some updated pictures of Pippin (a.k.a.
Peter Cottontail). He's a strapping 11.1 pounds now and just got an
excellent bill of health at the Vet's on Saturday! He has brought so
much joy to Pete and I since we brought him home a year ago March, we
are forever grateful! He loves to play tag, mostly wanting to tag and
chase me. (I'm getting too old for this!!!) Hope you enjoy the
pictures.
All the best,

Hi Laura!
I know that it has been a while since I wrote, but I had been thinking about you, and
decided that I would write before things get hectic here again.
I just wanted to tell you how much I adore my Kona. He is just the very best guy in
the whole world. He is a really funny cat in so many ways.
I think I told you that I sew, so I have a wonderful "helper"! He pulls the pins out
of the pieces I am working on, and then I get to chase him around the room to retrieve
the pin! He thinks the bobbins are great fun, and when those are taken away from him
(because they have thread in them and I do not want him eating the thread and getting
intestinal blockage), he starts in on the spools, or anything else he can get into. He
finally gives up after a bit, and then must be in my lap the rest of the time.
Actually, there are days when I feel like I have grown an appendage on my thighs!

He loves everyone who comes to the house. First he engages them in some "mouse" games
and then curls up in their lap and sings them big kitty songs.
His best friend (besides me) is one of my older Cavaliers. If I have to leave him for a
while, he curls up with the dog. Pretty funny!
Anyway, I took some new photos of him today. I was in the process of making a dog bed
for a friend and had it partially finished. Kona thought that he should at least try
the bed out to make sure it was fit for a dog. As you will see, he is quite relaxed,
which is the way he is ALL the time.
He has been the best thing I have done in a long time. You and Gary did a super job
raising him and making him the kind of kitten anyone would ever want! I cannot tell
you how much I truly adore him!
Hope you are well - and all the kitty creatures are doing well also.
All the best,
Kathy G and Kona |

Dear Laura,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write. Time just seems to be flying by and we
are always behind.
Our family is doing great. Our older cat is adjusting so well, it is as if he is a
new cat. We finally settled on names. We have Tigerlilly, Elvis, and Cupcake. All are
getting spoiled and growing like weeds. When we get some pictures developed, we will
send some your way.
I want to tell you how very happy we are with the cats. We just love coming home to a
full house, and they are so loving and curious. This is one of the better decisions
we have made - to aquire three cats at one time. You should be proud of your cattery
as these are the best cats I have ever had the honor to raise. They all seem so well
adjusted and healthy. Thank you for doing such a great job!!! I will write more soon.
We wish you the best.
Take care of yourself and family,

Hi Laura,
We spent 4th of July at the cottage just south of Traverse City and brought Izzy with
us. I think Izzy really liked her new diggs for a short while.
Here's a link to some pics I took of her on her vacation.
There are a few pics in natural light that put an end to what color her eyes are,
BLUE!
She's a great cat and getting big quick! Her personalty is just starting to come
about. She's very playful at times and lets you know it. Other times she's like a
limp stuffed toy cat. Today we gave her a second bath, and it was much easier than
the first. She gets in all the nooks and picks up dirt on her nice white coat.
Thanks for Izzy and have a great summer!

Laura and Gary,
Paul Lee made it safe and sound. NW Cargo did an excellent job caring for him.
The Mpls office brought him (in his kennel, of course) into the office area, away
from some barking dogs. Paul Lee was charming all the staff there! He was calm and
quiet on the ride home. Once to our house, he came out of his kennel purring!
He is not shy and has explored our whole house. He has already used the litter box,
ate and drank. Thanks for the sample of the NuVet vitamins - I hadn't heard of them
before - they sound like they would be good for my other Tonks: Cody and Misty.
Speaking of which, Cody and Paul saw each other and sniffed. So far, so good. Both of
them like playing with the laser light...
Paul Lee is very playful and loving, just as you said, and has given everybody kitty
kisses. He currently is curled up, asleep, sitting on my son's shoulder. He is also
very beautiful! For awhile, all of us kept calling him a "she". I think we all
decided to name him Floyd, as in Pretty Boy Floyd. I'll send you some cute pics of
him, and hopefully of him and Cody together. Thank you for such a sweet kitten!

Laura and Gary,
Here are recent photos of our Dolly. Isn't she beautiful? She is our sweetheart.
The photos of Dolly with the towel were taken after she took her towel, that was
laying perfectly flat, and "re-arranged" it to suit herself. The towel was flat,
between two pillows on the bed. She burrows around until she's totally comfortable.
We think she is so pretty!
Love to you both,
Gene and Rosella L |

Hi Laura,
I am soooo sorry it has taken me this long to send a picture or an update - I should
be bopped on the head!
Anyway, Tango is doing absolutely wonderful. He has decided that HE is "mama's cat".
He will allow the others to have lap time and petting time, BUT, only to a point!
|
|
|
He starts purring the moment I start talking to him and expects to be picked up at all
times. Loves my lap and considers it his "personal" space that is to be available at
all times! He got his middle name - Romeo - because he is so very affectionate! He is
a kisser. All the time! Whatever part of me he is closest to him gets a passing kiss!
I love all my babies, but must admit that this one has grabbed my heart the hardest.
He is having a blast with his buddy/brother Cash (that's him in the picture). Yep,
Tango and Cash! Just like the movie! They are definitely partners in crime and the
two of them tear across my house like crazy thieves on the run! Cash is a Lilac
Siamese and is just two weeks younger. When they are not with me, they are with each
other. They do enjoy aggravating the Bengal or chasing my Maine Coon's tail. She's
so laid back, she lets them do it! It's one big happy family here, and everyone gets
along so well. Even little tiffs are settled quickly, and I will find everybody
conked out in the tree, or one of the beds.
Thank you for sending me such a big bundle of love. And, oh yes, he is turning into
such a handsome cat! Please feel free to call me anytime. I'll be sure to put him on
the phone and let him purr to you!

Hello Laura,
I am a friend of Nancy L (who just bought Bella from you). You may recall that I
bought two cats from you about nine years ago when you were still in Roseville.
One was a platinum and one was champagne. They are sisters. Their names are Cassie
and Joni.
Cassie is the platinum and Joni is the champagne. I thought you might like a photo of
them.

They are quite beautiful and in perfect health, as I take them to the vet for
very regular shots, checkups, etc. They are a real pleasure to me and I want to thank
you.
Hope you enjoy the photo. Hope all is well.

Hi Laura and Gary,
I enjoy looking at your website. We know you both take such good care of all your
kittens.
Just to let you know, Buster and Gizmo are doing great. Can't believe it, but they
are 6 years old already. They aren't quite as active as they use to be, but still
active enough. They still do a lot of chasing each other. They are both so loveable. |
|
|
They sleep with us each night. As the nights get cooler, they snuggle closer to us.
Each have their own personality. They still seem to try to prove who is dominate.
First one, then the other. It is fun to watch. So glad we have two of them. They
enjoy each other so much. And we enjoy playing with and watching them.
