Laura:
"Go Blue" is now 6 months old, and he and his brother Commander, continue to show off
just how smart they are.
|
|
Attached is a photo of "Go Blue" and his hobby, a 45 gallon fresh water aquarium.
He sits there for long periods of time, and especially likes feeding time, when he
points out the fish feeding near the bottom. He has just started to talk to them, and
gets very excited when the baby fish come to his paws on the glass. He does not try
to get into the tank, and has learned not to make sudden moves that scare the fish!
Now if I can just teach him to do the tank maintenance!
|
|
|
I have to tell you that I have just decided to use the photo of the two of them as my
desktop background for my computer. Last night, Blue was sitting on my lap when he
noticed it. He got really excited, crawled up to touch it and then began looking over,
around and behind the screen looking for the kitties! Oops, guess he is not so smart
if he can't tell the difference between real and photo's. (Just kidding, we love them
and it undoubtedly is confusing at first!)

In the second picture, Bob's making an electric car for the cats to play with, and
Go Blue is supervising! Many of our friends are now talking about getting Tonks like
ours, and we keep giving them your name and contact info.

Hi Laura: |
|
Go Blue and his brother Commander are now 2 years old, and still just as much
fun as ever! Go Blue's latest trick developed when he learned that Bob goes
away to the Post Office every day for our business. He doesn't like that he can't
come along, so he has started to sit in the basket used to transport the mail! We
have attached our photo, which we have titled "Outgoing Male."
We continue to believe that adopting "The Boys" was the best thing we have done in
years!!

|
Thanks again,
Kathy and Bob

Dear Laura:
Hello, how are you, Laura! This is JooRi from Washington, DC (Thunder's mommy). I
recently looked at your updated website and it looks really nice. Every tonk in your
website is just so adorable.
|
|
Well, Thunder's doing fine! Last December (12/21) was his 2nd birthday so my family
gave him a nice birthday party (with some treats, catnips, new toys).
I always say this when I email you, but I still can't thank you enough for bringing
Thunder to me and my family. Thunder has been an amazing cat, and we enjoy him very
much.
Some of my friends who previously didn't like cats became cat lovers because they
just couldn't resist Thunder (they are in love with "Tonkinese" breed)! I gave them
your number and website address and told them, when they think they are ready,
contact you!
Anyways, I hope everything is fine with you and your families (including cats) and I
will write to you again. Thank you so much!!!
Sincerely,
JooRi

Dear Laura:

Miss Piccadilly Boddington is a constant joy, delight, and entertainment for my
family. She is a magnet for attention, which makes her the most thoroughly spoilt cat
in Rochester - quite the little regal diva with an affinity for grilled shrimp. Even
the JCC bus and UPS drivers both wave at her when she sits in the window. The vet was
extremely pleased with how healthy and active she was during her checkup. He
specifically mentioned how "well socialized" she was as a kitten.

|
|
I purchased some more toys from Clare Enterprises
and she loves them! Every night when I come home, she's at the door waiting for me -
that is a wonderful welcome committee!
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Dear Laura:
It's been close to six months since Botero (a bi-color male British Shorthair) has
been with us and he's been doing great! I noticed that you have updated your website
and that you have a picture of him (together with our other cat, Pollock, a Havana
Brown, hugging each other). I am sending you another picture of Botero at 6 months.
|
 |
|
Also wanted to let you know that he has been neutered, and that he won second prize
in the altered category in a local competition in Mexico City (co-sponsored between
the Mexican Cat Association and TICA). He didn't like too much being handled by the
judge, but pretty much took it all in stride. Thanks a lot for bringing him up so
well!
With best regards,
Stathis and Elena

Hi Laura,
Chloe and Zoe (Plat and Champ) are 3 years old now. I can't believe it! All of our
babies are quite the acrobats. Our son has taught them to walk on the handrails of
the stairway. The little one, Tabiatha (natural mink) weighing in at not quite 7 lbs!
She can leap from the stairwell catwalk across our great room to the top of the
armoir! They are so funny and we love them so much!
Take care,
Joan S.

Hi, this is
Kathy's husband (Dennis) and I finally have a few minutes to send you some pictures.
Our whole family loves Jade - she's doing a great job running things around here.
Such a smart girl! She follows Greg around like a puppy. She spends about equal time
on Kathy and my laps. During the football season, she was on my lap during most of
the football games that I watched. I hope things continue to go well for you.
Our very best wishes,
Dennis

Hi Laura,
|
|
I hope your cruise was as relaxing as you’d hoped.
Lily wasn’t very happy about the long ride to her new home, but after a couple of
days she’s taken over here. You were right about her being playful. She gives us
dozens of laughs a day with her antics. She’s a real treasure and a joy. The
atmosphere around here changed immediately. The house, and Dan and I were so gloomy
after the death of our beloved Himalayan on December 1. Now we have lots of fun again.
|
|
|
Here’s a photo of Lily on our bed between stuffed likenesses of Angel (Persian) and
Merlin (Himalayan).
Thanks again for offering her to us. We love her to pieces and are so happy with the
change she’s brought about.
All the best to you,
Carol

Hi Laura,
This is Gizmo. This is my favorite picture of him. It was taken on July 28th so he
was 10 months old. The vet said he appears to be the dominate one. Buster is more
laid back. He could tell that quite easy. He asked me if I was glad I had 2 of them.
I told him definitely. They seem to have a lot of fun together, and keeping them
active helps to keep the weight down a bit. I have 2 more to send to you.
Take care,
Diane and Don

Hi Laura and Gary,
Hope all is well with both of you. We are doing good. It has been a long time since I
contacted you. I thought you may enjoy an update on these boys.
I was going through some pictures of our boys and found a couple a cute ones.
Thought you may enjoy them. They are such characters. We thoroughly enjoy them.
We never know quite what to expect from them. One day recently, I heard the TV on in
the bedroom. We went in the bedroom and found one of them had turned on the TV and
was sitting in front of it watching it. The remote was close by turned upside down.
They must have stepped on it.
Another day, I took a stack of bowls out of the cupboard, set them down and turned to
close the door. Gizmo was sitting in a dish in the cupboard watching me. He sure got
there fast. They are always doing something interesting.
They also seem to like to travel with us. Gizmo still is the most out going one. He
demands attention! Buster wants the attention when Gizmo is sleeping.
I often think about how great you both were to us.
Take care,
Diane and Don

Hi Laura,
Hope all is well with you! Just wanted to give you an update: Zappa is certainly
one loved little man! I took him in one week ago today - the vet personnel didn't want
me to take him home! They fell in love with him. They said he is soooo loving and
such a "character"! He is such a joy - I can't tell you enough. Thank you so much!!!
He has adapted very well. Koukla still has issues with him, but given enough time
together, she will adapt. I am actually very proud of her - she really hasn't ran and
hid and she has adapted well to litter changes, food changes and hasn't once gone
outside of her box to let me know she isn't happy! The vet is thrilled he is coming
back Dec.22nd for neutering. They are just disappointed he will be going home the
same day. They want to keep him forever! He weighs 5.1 lbs as of last week. He is
sooooo cute!!! Thanks again. Email when you can. Take care!

Dear Laura!
Hi. It's been awhile since you heard from us (we picked her up April 25th). I was
just writing to let you know that our cat is doing GREAT!!! We love her so much!
I wonder how we ever got by without her. Her name is Marley.
She's doing really well with our dog, Sasha. In fact, when we take Sasha outside,
she waits by the door and meows until the Sasha comes back in inside. It took about
a week though for her to even let the dog come anywhere near her!
Well, I just thought I'd touch base with you and let you know how she's doing. My
parents love her so much, that when their dog passes (she's 14 years old), they are
going to get not one, but two Tonkinese cats. They were so impressed with Marley,
and how social she was (and still is) when we brought her home, that you'll be
hearing from them. I guess that means that you did good!!! Like I said already, I'll
send a picture or two when I get a good one. Thanks again!!!
Amanda
